The 6 Days of Tyson: Thursday

On Thursday we went to Mission Beach. We started our day at the beach with a nap.

After he woke up, we re-introduced Tyler to the Pacific. Tentative Tyler went all "jellyfish" on me, aka The Human Suction Cup.

He briefly enjoyed the waves with me, but unfortunately, it didn't last long, and we didn't get a picture of it before he resumed the Jellyman posture, and could not be pried off.

That evening, we returned to Stone Brewery, our favorite excursion from last year. I started with a smoked porter with vanilla bean, followed by a standard smoked porter from their tap.

We love the scenery at Stone. There's a beautiful garden to walk in, a variety of seating areas with picnic tables and adirondak chairs, gas firepits...

Stone is very kid friendly, and Tyler quickly found some boys close to his age to play next to, imitating their acrobatic stunts to the best of his ability. The koi pond was new to us, and Tyler spent most of his time there.

Tyler put Grandma, Tyson, and me on a rotating schedule to view the koi.

Tyson and I caught a few quiet moments alone together. Clearly, I've yet to master the art of the digital self-portrait. Hey Tyson, how come your forehead looks so red next to mine???

Happy Birthday, Tyson!
